Shooting mode: aperture priority with + 1/3 exposure compensation (which was obviously unnecessary considering I over-exposed the image)
Metering mode: pattern
Focus points: single
Focus mode: one-shot

This image was taken on December 9th at 4:20pm. It was an unseasonable warm day, the skies were mostly cloudy, and the sun was low as we were nearing sunset.

Using a single focus point, I focused on the baby with an aperture of  f/4.0. Selecting this aperture, at this distance, was a little bit of a risky move. To be safer, and ensure an adequate depth of field, I would probably suggest shooting at f/5.6. I did verify in Lightroom that everyone is in focus, so it worked out fine.

Below is the original and edited versions. Color and light adjustments were accomplished in Lightroom, very slight skin softening in Photoshop.
