Emily and Kevin were married at Cathedral of St. Joseph in Wheeling, WV and held their reception at Oglebay Resort. If you asked me to describe Emily in one word, it would be radiant. Like many of my brides, I met her for the first time on her wedding day, and we chatted as if we were long lost friends. She glows from the inside out and has an incredible way with people. She didn’t know I snapped this photo as she was fixing her dress, I love her natural expression.
Craig captured this photograph just before the ceremony began.
There is no question that this is the most beautiful church in Wheeling, maybe one of the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed.
One of the many advantages of this church was the second story balcony that wraps around the sides (see above). Craig was able to capture this image during the vows from his vantage point. Which turned out to be extremely lucky because the priest conducted this part of the ceremony standing between the guests and the couple.
We found the softest light.
Her eyes! So beautiful!!
I really enjoyed the way Emily and Kevin responded to one another.
This is one of the many advantages of having multiple photographers… while I was taking the image above, Craig captured this angle.
Love these two.

Their first dance was SO MUCH FUN!! They also had several speeches at their reception (Canadian style) and every person that spoke was articulate, funny and engaging. It was a pleasure to learn more about Emily and Kevin and their relationship.
A few of my favorite details.
