I didn’t have any weddings for the last two weekends because we were away on our big family beach vacation! We headed to St. George Island, which is located just east of Panama City on the Florida panhandle.
We decided to drive, Griswald style (my Mom drove with us and I threatened to put her on the roof if she didn’t behave, LOL), but took our time to get there. Our first stop was Mammoth Caves Kentucky to do some spelunking. Ella was so excited when SHE discovered the entrance to this cave.
The caves were awesome, 52 degrees… it was 95 outside!
Our next stop was Stone Mountain, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Mom and Ella admiring the mountain.
Craig and Ella on top of the world!
Three days later we finally arrived at our destination. Our house was RIGHT on the beach!!
Mom and Ella relaxing, and apparently having a very in-depth conversation about how, “this is the life.”
Craig took this of me at sunset and I really like the lighting… although I’m not thrilled with my expressing because I was squinting. Not bad for 5 months pregnant, huh?
Our daily routine.
The beach had a ton of seashells and my girl was in heaven collecting them!
Dad at sunset enjoying his kayak.
And this is my brother. And this is what he does with most of his time… relax and drink beer. Actually, he tore his Achilles tendon a few months ago and had just recently had his cast removed. Unfortunately, while playing in the ocean with his girls, he tore it AGAIN. Ouch!! It was not a good scene. He’s having his second surgery today, poor guy has the worst luck (of course we all know my thoughts on luck… either good or bad).
I watched this sand crab for a long time while he played on the beach… he was very busy and very cute.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this picture?? My Dad and my brother, both playing on laptops when we are RIGHT ON THE BEACH!! People, hello!!
We had a wonderful time but are glad to be back home!
