Corrie and Dave were married at Bare Memorial Church of God in Roaring Spring, PA, and held their reception at The Village at Morrison.

Seeing his bride for the first time, love the emotion.

Dave’s dad, Dr. Jay Passavant (Northway Christian Community), officiated the ceremony. From the moment I exchanged emails with Dr. Jay, I knew I liked him…. yes, those are Easter eggs, and he is cracking them (one handed!) into a bowl during the ceremony. It was a great lesson, you had to be there.

I have this thing for grandmas. I just love them.

I was grateful for the many beautiful areas in the church to photograph.

Always happy when a gust of wind comes along to help with the veil. Corrie was such a gorgeous bride!

It’s no secret that I love veils, but veils with lace that are also sentimental? To die for.

Also loved the lace jacket that Corrie wore to the reception.

Not sure what it is about this image that I love, but Craig captured it just as they were to be announced at the reception.

First dance.

I hope you guys have an amazing time on your mystery honeymoon! Dave made all of the plans and the destination is a surprise for Corrie!

The Knot – Best of Weddings 2010

I was so excited to learn that Weddings by Heather was named one of the Best Wedding Photographers in Pittsburgh for 2010! This is the fourth year in a row! I am absolutely living my dream by following my passion, and the fact that others enjoy my work as well is an incredibly bonus. And sometimes hard to believe! Thank you so much!

Had a great time photographing M’s boudoir session last week, and received this wonderful email from her:

Heather, Thank you! My boudoir session experience was amazing and I cannot wait to see the pictures! I can’t wait until it is not a secret anymore so I can tell everyone and anyone that it is an experience not to be missed! You made me feel completely welcome and relaxed. Lisa did such an amazing job with my makeup. I felt like I was hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends that I have known for years. She will be giving the album to her husband for their 10 year wedding anniversary this summer. What an awesome gift! And believe it or not, she has FOUR children!

We’ve been having so much fun with the workshops, and I received the nicest review from Sandy at Red Lotus Photography regarding her experience:

Heather is not only a vast encyclopedia of Photoshop knowledge, but she is an open book as well. Ask her anything, and she doesn’t hold back any information. Why? Because she loves sharing and helping people. She is an awesome teacher–organized, enthusiastic, and an excellent communicator. She has a way of teaching new information that just makes it click in your mind.

A Heather workshop experience is such a pleasant one; friendly atmosphere, great presentation, and thoughtful touches like notebooks and little care packages waiting for you at your seat when you arrive.

Although I had a pretty good understanding of Photoshop before this, I knew that I would learn a lot from Heather by taking this seminar. I was not disappointed. Go to her Photoshop or Lightroom workshop, and you won’t be disappointed either!

Photoshop Workshop Giveaway!

If you follow me on Twitter, then you may have read how I won a Wacom Bamboo Tablet last week. The awesome folks at Evernote and Wacom teamed up for the giveaway and I was so excited (and shocked) when I won! If you are a photographer, or use Photoshop on a regular basis then a pen tablet is a must have. I have been a Wacom Intuos user for years with my current tablet being the medium Intuos 4.

Because I already own a Wacom Tablet, I thought it would be fun to give away the Bamboo that I won at my Photoshop Workshop this Friday. The workshop has been sold out since last month, but if you are enrolled, you could be the lucky winner of brand new Bamboo Tablet!!! YEAH!!!!

4 Days Old | Newborn Photography

Awww, so sweet.

I am amazed at how intently he was starring at his daddy, he’s only four days old!

I must be hormonal because this picture makes me cry… it is absolutely beautiful to see new parents so in love with their baby.

This is one talented little boy, he manged to get his thumb in his mouth!

I met Troy and Meghan last year when they were in Andy and Lilly’s bridal party. We had an instant connection and they were trying to tell me… without exactly telling me… that Meghan was pregnant. He was tiny, but he was in there!
