There are three variations of this course based on how you learn best:

1. Photography (Digital SLR) Workshop: offered at CCBC – 20 students, 6 hours, $110
This is a large classroom setting.  Groups are created based on camera manufacturer to allow students to help each other through the learning process.

2. Focus Group SLR Workshop – 6 students, 6 hours, lunch included, $220
Held at my home, this small group setting allows for more specialized attention given to each student based on their needs and equipment.

3. 1on1 Private Consultation – 1 student, 4 hours, $480
Also held in my home, this private consultation can be the quickest way to a complete understanding of your camera.

We begin at 9:30am and typically conclude between 3-4pm.

After offering the Advanced Photoshop Workshop for a few months, there have been many requests for a beginners workshop.

This workshop will be geared towards photographers, with an emphasis on efficiency (shortcut keys, actions, presets, etc). We will be working on a variety of photographs, including; wedding, portrait, newborn, family and children. Our Photoshop workshop is a mix of instruction, demonstration and hands-on application. Exercise files are provided.

Photoshop is an extremely robust, diverse application, we will not be working with Bridge, Image Ready, slices (or anything to do with website design). As mentioned previously, we will focus on the use of Photoshop as it pertains to photographers.

Layer Basics
Exposure/Color Correction
Working with Selections
Modifying Color Tone
Image Clean-up
Enhancing Digital Photographs

In addition, we will create and save a few basic actions for you to take home!

A laptop with Photoshop CS4 is required. If you currently don’t have Photoshop, you can download a free trial from Adobe’s website .
