Mt. Pleasant Camera Club

My dad has been encouraging me for the past few years to start a camera club at our church and a recent renewed interest has finally sparked me into action . I have explained to him (countless times) that I am extremely busy and didn’t think I had the time necessary to commit to this endeavor, but then I remembered one of the goals I had when I first began teaching: accessibility. I want my classes, workshops and training to be accessible to everyone, regardless of budget. I offer workshops privately and through the Community College of Beaver County at differing price points, and now via this camera club, at no charge.

I am reminded of this verse from Luke 12:48: “To whom much is given, much is expected.”

We have been blessed with a successful business, and understand the importance of giving back.

The Camera Club will host fun, informative, relaxed meetings that may also include field trips and monthly photo challenges. It is open to anyone with a digital camera, regardless of skill level. Please consider joining us, we will meet the third Tuesday of every month beginning on February 21st at Mt. Pleasant church at 6:30pm. I hope that you and your families are enjoying a magical holiday season, I absolutely love this time of year. Tiffany from Munchkins and Mohawks was gracious enough to photograph our family again this year for our Christmas cards and I could not be more thrilled with the photos. I LOVE them more than words can express. Not only is Tiffany one of the most gifted photographers that I know, she is an amazing friend and mother to her own three little munchkins. Grandma

I apologize for my lack of posts lately, my sweet Grandma passed away late last week and we’ve been reminiscing and spending time with family. Her funeral was yesterday and it impacted me more than I thought. She was 92 after all, we knew that she wouldn’t live forever, but the reality that she is gone is difficult to process. Beth & Mike | Winter Wonderland

My brother and his amazingly gorgeous wife were married in an intimate ceremony just before Christmas at Seven Springs Resort. Beth was incredibly elegant in her lace gown and birdcage veil, a dream to photograph.

And the weather was PERFECT. There was a beautiful blanket of snow, the tree branches were heavy with white powder, and it was a clear, sunny day.
She was glowing all day.
They were willing to try anything in regards to photography, and even though it was 15 degrees, Beth knew she would love the look of outdoor photographs. If you want great photos, you have to be tough!
And doesn’t my brother look dapper?
They held their ceremony and dinner at Helen’s Restaurant, where this photograph was taken (built in 1933).
Found the perfect beam of sunlight streaking through a window.
My children (Ella-8 and Evan-3) LOVE their Uncle Mike and were thrilled to be a part of the wedding. Ella was the most attentive flower girl I have ever seen. And she even convinced her ring bearing brother to cooperate during the ceremony. There was a certain photographer/mother who wasn’t quite sure what her son would do.

Craig, myself and all of the wonderful people that make up the Weddings by Heather team, would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas. As I reflect on 2010, I realize that this year, for me, has been about balance. Trying to balance the love I have for my family and the passion I have for my business, weddings and teaching. Our Family

I love having our family portraits taken, it is so much fun to be on the other side of the camera.

I met Tiffany from Munchkin and Mohawks a year and a half ago and adored her immediately. We share a love for God, our children and a passion for our respective photography businesses. I am lucky enough to have many photographer friends, but when it came time to ask someone to photograph my family, I knew that Tiffany’s style suited my vision. My sweet Ella and I are very close and I just adore this photograph of us.
Oh my gosh, look at the handsome men in my life!! I am not sure how Tiffany managed to get this AMAZING image from a three year old that never sits still, but she worked her magic and produced fantastic results. Evan is such a sweet, talkative, out-going little boy, we love him so much!
It’s impossible to describe just how gifted Tiffany is in the area of creative design. She spent hours prior to our session talking with us about who we are, what we like, and how we interact as a family. She scouted several locations, she stylized everything down to the last detail.
My girl has been in front of the camera her entire life… it’s safe to say that she enjoys the attention.
Isn’t this image to die for? It may seem strange for one photographer to promote another, but it is easy to gush about Tiffany. As I am primarily a wedding photographer, I refer family sessions directly to her. We are a very close family and we love Jesus. Ella and I made the crosses that are hanging from the tree. My eyes well up with tears and my heart aches when I think about how much I love my husband and our children. We are so blessed.

I think we were laughing here because we felt bad for Tiffany… I kept saying… how does she do it, these kids are crazy!! She was so patient and worked SO HARD to get the best out of us and she succeeded. Tiffany, I cannot thank you enough for these timeless images, you have been blessed with an amazing talent.
