I met Carrie a year and a half ago when I photographed her first newborn (I also photographed her sister, Michelle’s wedding last year). I was delighted when she emailed me earlier this year to tell me that she was expecting again.

Oh my gosh! Another smile from a newborn!

I love his hands by his face, so cozy.

Seriously, he is smiling again! This is one happy little guy!

This tiny little guy was born at 32 weeks, and thankfully he is doing well and is at home with his parents.

I think he is just soooooo cute.

And he was so tired, slept through most of his session.

A family. I love my job.

I had such a wonderful time photographing Jon and Robyn’s wedding four years ago, so when he contacted me several months ago to inquire about a newborn session, I was delighted. And shocked. Robyn and I became friends following the wedding, we kept in touch, and she even took one of the photography classes at CCBC. It’s not that she talked about having, or not having, children, it was just clear that they were two busy professionals and having children probably was not in their future. Clearly, I was wrong!! Robyn admits that she’s not cut from that cloth, but when I saw her lovin’ on her new baby, I saw an entirely new side of her.

And how could you not love on this sweet, little boy?

I count this as a smile, I think he liked me! Which melts my heart!

I have several newborn sessions coming up, which makes me think that I need to do some math… what was happening about nine months ago? I predicted several blizzard babies, but it’s still too soon for that.

It’s so hard to believe that sweet Bennett is seven months old. WTAE posted an update on their website with video and photos of Bennett. Looking back on the day Bennett was born still brings tears to my eyes; his birth, an absolute miracle. This photo, of Jason touching his son for the first time, is one of my favorites.

Isn’t she sweet?

It was her debut as a super model, yet she couldn’t keep her eyes open.

She slept through the entire photography session and let me move her, dress her, pose her, etc. Such a sweetheart!
