Rachel and Matt were married at Heinz Chapel in Oakland, and held their reception at The Lemont, atop Mt. Washington. Because Rachel and Matt were getting married at 6:30pm, they decided to have a ‘first look’ and take all of their photographs prior to the ceremony. This is when they saw each other for the first time.

My great friend David Burke shot with me as Craig was out of town. This is one of his many wonderful images.

I love the tenderness in this photo. (And isn’t her makeup amazing?)

Her veil, flowers, and dress were all to die for. She was breathtakingly elegant.

Walking down the aisle with her father.

Another great capture by Dave (and I can’t thank him enough for taking the balcony for me… it was near 100 degrees outside, so you can imagine what it was like inside of Heinz).

Heinz Chapel does not allow flower petals in the aisle, so Rachel cleverly glued them to the longest aisle runner I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure how long it took, but it was worth it!

Just married!!

The cake was amazing.

Rachel and Matt were incredibly light on their feet during their first dance, and then he CARRIED HER OFF THE DANCE FLOOR!! Grooms, pay attention, this was so romantic!

Sparkler exit was so fun! (And only slightly dangerous, ha).

A few of my favorite details.

Wow! One of the most romantic looking weddings I’ve seen in awhile. Love all the pink tones and lace.
Wonderful as always Heather!
Ohmygosh, that rose petal runner must have taken her FOREVER! Gorgeous as always:)
Wow! One of the prettiest weddings I have seen in awhile. Gorgeous pics as always.
As the father of the groom I can tell you from first hand information it to many man hours of family and friends to glue all the petals on, bjt from the pics, iit was worth it! Beautiful pics Heather, can’t wait to see more!
This was a fairy tale wedding from start to finish. It was the wedding that little girls dream about – designed perfectly for a real princess like Rachel and a real prince charming like Matt. It was timelessly romantic and elegant. The wedding would have been beautiful 100 years ago and it will still be beautiful 100 years from now. Thank you for the photos that capture every nuance of the beginning of their “happily ever after.” (By the way, the runner is just over 100 feet long, contains over 30,000 individually glued petals, and its making incurred many lovingly endured glue gun injuries! I don’t know where our Cinderella’s mice were, but we sure could have used their sevices!)
I am having an evening wedding at Heinz Chapel as well and looking at lemont for reception…. To the Couple… and Photographer … is lemont a good location for good pics? concerned about reflective light. any other good suggestions?
